Heroes of Malaysia as well as top scorer AFF Suzuki Cup 2010, Safee Sali, was named favorite male athlete version of Astro TV stations.

Safee selected 52 percent of voters defeated other nominees, namely team-mate in the Malayan tiger, Safiq Rahim, victory over Kien Keat Koo, and two hockey players, S Kumar and Amin Rahim. A total of 12,582 voters cast their votes in the award.

However, because Safee can not leave the training schedule Pelita Jaya, the award was received by his father in a magnificent ceremony at the JW Marriott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
